Welcome to St Andrews Bakery, where our love for golf and great food comes together.

Our Story
Founded in 2019 by Richard Crabtree, an industry veteran with experience at Mars, McVitie’s and Burtons, St Andrews Bakery was created to bring something new to the world of golf and hospitality. Richard’s vision was simple: make snacks that actually help golfers play their best, using top-quality ingredients from Scottish producers.
In 2022, Richard’s old university friend Jim Mosley joined as co-owner. Their friendship started back at Liverpool Uni, and has seen them both as golf fanatics, business partners, and even Jim as best man at Richard’s wedding. Together, they lead a small, passionate team based in St Andrews, working closely with local partners to keep everything rooted in Scotland.

Why “Golf Balls”?
We saw a gap. Most snacks aimed at golfers are just another cereal bar or something you’d find in any supermarket. Working with top chefs and pros, we developed our own answer: the “Golf Balls” protein snack. Packed with nutrition and easy to eat on the move, they’re now the official snack at Scottish Golf’s national events, and a favourite with everyone from touring pros to weekend golfers.

Where We Are Now
We’re proud to supply over 30 national golf events each year, as well as clubs, hotels and resorts across Scotland and beyond. Our recent partnerships have taken us into Europe and we’re already seeing demand from the US and Middle East.
But our focus remains the same - delivering great snacks to golfers, wherever they play, and making sure every round feels special.

For the Love of the Game
Richard and Jim are both keen golfers and regular faces at the St Andrews Club. They know the ups and downs of the game, and believe that a good snack is just as important as a good drive. At St Andrews Bakery, our goal is to make every golfer’s day a little better.
